I completey agree. I am re-reading How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie for the third time in my career. I can’t believe how easily it is to slip into bad interpersonal and communication habits without constantly working to improve and focus on them. Last night I read the first chapter again about not criticising, condemning or complaining. I woke up in the morning and heard my oldest daughter banging bowls and cereal around. I started to say something and then I stopped myself. I almost criticized her when I should have been praising her for getting up on her own, feeding herself, putting her school uniform on etc.

The lesson learned – it’s easy to slip back into bad habits, one must continually strive to improve.
