The Cameron-Brooks Team and I extend our appreciation to all of our candidates, current military service members and alumni this 4th of July. We feel honored to work with so many high quality people who believe in serving our country either through military service, volunteering in the community or building their business.
When I started writing this message and trying to figure out what to say to extend our appreciation, I remembered my first visit to Washington D.C. I had recently graduated from Notre Dame, and started my Army Career with the Armor Officer Basic Course at Fort Knox. I drove all night with other Lieutenants from Knox to DC to run in the Army 10 Miler. During my visit, I went to the Korean War Memorial. The first thing I noticed was the inscription on the wall that said, “FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.”
It is easy to take our freedom for granted and forget the price so many people have paid and those who continue today to make sacrifices so that we can live in freedom. Thank you to all of you who work so hard either through your military service or they way you conduct your business to make this a great and free country.
